Apology to Blogger

SO sorry!

Seems it wasn't Blogger who did unmentionable things, but that the Hackosphere blogger, who provides all the great hacks to us humble earthlings, has got bandwidth problems. As long I don't manage to implement the fixing solutions he provides (my fault, no doubt!) collapsible posts are disabled, as are "Recent Comments".

Edited to add: The "Recent Comments" are fixed.

B*gger Bl*gger

Blogger has done some unmentionable things -- AGAIN. However, I won't complain because it's a free service And a gift horse... and all that.

Just for information: The "expandable post" widget doesn't just not work anymore but fouled up the entire blog's layout. I had to remove it from the template, so the "Click here to read the full post" link is gone. If you come across a post that is obviously shortened, click on the permalink to read it in full.

Also, the "Recent Comments" widget has gone bust, which is less irritating for me personally because I don't get enough comments anyway to give this widget its due. I'll leave the "Recent Comments" line in the right sidebar for some time, just in case.

I adamantly refuse to switch to one of those jelly-mould new blogger templates, I am hesitant to use a different service because I have grown fond of this old layout and I can't be bothered right now anyway.

Another Groundhog Day

Alright, I was travelling -- travelling to do some dog business and to see some old friends whom I had't seen for years. Driving, I had a lot of time to listen to the radio, something I usually only do during my daily short runs. And it's just as bad as the print- or online media: the pompous old fart waffling about the "abrahamic religions" that are prone to fundamentalism (heard of any good honour killings of wayward sisters or daughters by orthodox rabbis or Trappist monks lately?), the "brain trust" discussing the German school situation with a -- you've guessed it -- girl with "migration background" to speak doubly politically correct for the pupils of Germany, the ever-repeated mantra that the poor Pals would be good if they'd only get their own state, the entire perversely inflated fascination with that tiny sliver of land in the Middle East, the ubiquitous and perpetual caving in to Islam and other self-hating and cowardly mental derangements.

And today? Today Politically Incorrect informs us that Bat Ye'Or's book Eurabia will not be published in German. The translators found it too "violent" in content and too "shocking" for the German public, so the contract between the author and the publisher was cancelled. Where is the old Hun who felt doubly well when Jewish blood was spurting from his knife? Now it's everything not to irritate the Arabs. They might not like us anymore.

Every day is Groundhog Day.

I don't think I will blog for a while. My dogs don't deserve a depressed human.
