The Al Guardian Sets Priorities

As usual, my favourite fishwrap, the Al Guardian, knows what REALLY matters:
Israel Troops Kill 2 Palestinian Militants

NABLUS, West Bank (AP) - Israeli troops killed two Palestinian militants during a gunbattle early Wednesday in the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian security and medical officials said.

The deaths occurred when Israeli troops surrounded a house to arrest a wanted Islamic Jihad militant inside and a firefight broke out, according to Palestinian security officials and the Israeli army.

Meanwhile, in the Gaza Strip, shootings Tuesday left one Hamas member dead and two others wounded, emergency workers said.

The motives for the shootings was unknown, and there was no immediate claim of responsibility. Gunmen from Hamas and Fatah have clashed in recent weeks in a power struggle for control of the Palestinian government following Hamas' victory in January parliamentary elections.

Hundreds of angry Hamas supporters marched through the streets of Gaza demanding the security forces take action. ``People who are behind these incidents must be caught by security and executed in the public square,'' said Marwan Abu Ras, a Hamas official.

Did you get that? An "official" of a "democratically elected" body said that and the Al Guardian, who is doggedly following its policy of calling terrorists "militants", seems to find that quite alright.

Imagine the reaction had an American or *shudder* Israeli "official" said that!

What does it take to become a "Hamas official", I wonder? Is it a certain amount of heads one must cut off or the ability to work with explosives for a certain period of time without blowing oneself up? By the way, that clown holds a "doctorate" and is a "lecturer in Arabic Literature" at the "Islamic University" in Gaza city. (Gosh, I'm running out of quotation marks...)

Nice political culture, nice judicial system, nice academic environment and nice Western idiots who support that.
