Two or three things about the Norwegian horror:
There is a German Facebook group "I am conservative and I denounce the terror assault in Norway" ("Ich bin konservativ und verurteile den Terroranschlag in Norwegen"). Why does a "conservative" need to distance himself from such a monstrous crime? Are conservatives known for planting bombs in government buildings? Of butchering the children of their political opponents? What will they do next? Distance themselves from breathing because that mass murdering scum breathes -- sad to say -- as well? Those who excuse themselves accuse themselves.
Which leads us to the term "terrorist", which is as falsely as liberally (ha ha) applied here. That man is a mass murderer. Terror is something to establish fear and soften opposition to achieve a political goal within a defined framework. The IRA comes to mind, as does the Basque ETA or -- dare I say it -- Islam, and while multiculturalists and Gutmenschen stumble over their own legs in the attempt to euphemise the countless heinous deeds committed by Muslims in the spirit of Islam as as "isolated cases", conservatives jump the gun in anticipating obedience to declare that they have nothing to do with this mass murderer. Who would have thought so.
There is another aspect, maybe the most irritating one. 800 young people plus attendants, coaches and other carers -- there must have been a three-figure number of able-bodied men in their late teens or twenties on that island. The murderer had to load and re-load that gun again and again during those hellish 90 minutes. However, as far as we know, no attempt was made to overpower him. Different from the people of Hero Flight 93, the young people would even have had a decent chance to survive. Is that the outcome of more than 40 years of misandry, of denouncing and criminalising the best qualities of the male sex? Have they heard once to often the debased creed that "violence has never taken anybody anywhere"? God help us!

About Sexual Orientation and Moral Fibre
A top aide to German foreign minister Guido Westerwelle (who is homosexual) has been identified as the person responsible for passing on information about government coalition talks to the US Embassy in the latest WikiLeaks disclosures. Westerwelle was reportedly (and aptly) described as "arrogant, vain and critical of America" by Ambassador Philip Murphy in the leaked material.

It soon transpired that it was Westerwelle's office manager, no less, who had passed on confidential information, yes, that very informer who had been described in dispatches by U.S. Ambassador Philip Murphy, as a "young up-and-coming" FDP member. Metzner was relieved from his job as Westerwelle's office manager, but no legal action will be taken against him and he will go on working for the FDP organisation.
Metzner, too, is homosexual.
At this point, I'd like to look back on Hamburg's ex-mayor Ole von Beust, who is -- you've guessed it -- homosexual. He entered the twilight zone when he appointed Roger Kusch, who is homosexual, senator for justice. That Beust politically survived the ensueing scandal is due to the fact that he was always known, in any other respect, as a man of utter integrity. So maybe he just made an honest mistake, but oughtn't he have avoided to appoint another homosexual without any especially remarkable qualification to such a high office? Beust always considered his sexual orientation a private matter, however, a shadow remains, the more as Kusch is, to all intents and purposes, a repulsive and spooky creep and still in the headlines from time to time.
Beust is living together now, after he retired from politics, with a man 36 years his junior, whom he had met -- will wonders ever cease -- when the boy had just turned 18.
But I digress. Now what about the leak at the other end, the man who let WikiLeaks have the documents which are causing such a brouhaha right now. It is Private Bradley E. Manning and he is homosexual.
An interesting NYT article informs us:
And while it isn't quite so that being homosexual makes one more likely to commit acts of mass data transferring, it ought to be worth a thought whether an openly "gay" lifestyle doesn't undermine the moral fibre of those who pursue it. In May 2009 I wrote:

Ideological Hotchpotch -- I told you so!
At the sound of the word "freedom" Americans tend to react with an appreciative Pavlovian drool. Recently, a new German party named "Die Freiheit" (Freiheit=freedom/liberty) is triggering this effect. The party hold its inaugural meeting on October 28 in Berlin. Chairman is René Stadtkewitz, a member of the Berlin parliament who used to belong to the parliamentary group of the Christian Democratic Union until his expulsion some weeks ago for hosting the Dutch politician Geert Wilders. (We reported.)
Stadtkewitz is clearly modeling his party after Geert Wilders' "Partij voor de Vrijheid" (Party for Freedom) with a strong focus on the threat an ever-increasing Islamisation poses to the West and a pronounced solidarity with Israel.
For what else does it stand? 28 "core demands" (Kernforderungen) taken from the party platform, may shed some light on it:
At least a third of those "core demands" have no place in a party platform anyway and one wonders whether Stadtkewitz (who is a decent enough fellow) and his team are unable to pay an editor or whether they REALLY think this is something on which some common understanding can be built.
Stadtkewitz is clearly modeling his party after Geert Wilders' "Partij voor de Vrijheid" (Party for Freedom) with a strong focus on the threat an ever-increasing Islamisation poses to the West and a pronounced solidarity with Israel.
For what else does it stand? 28 "core demands" (Kernforderungen) taken from the party platform, may shed some light on it:
1. for a direct democracy after the Swiss modelFrom the laudable, via the indispensable to the sensible to the superfluous to the ridiculous and finally to the potentially dangerous. See Americans? They are NO "conservatives". Everybody who demands "animal rights" has lost any credibility, generally and specifically as conservative. As far as points 18 and 19 are concerned, one could as well vote "green". And if I see a demand for "no cruelty and killing out of traditional reasons" all my alarm bells start ringing and I smell a hunting/shooting ban. It's the old German besottedness with "nature", pretty pictures, romanticism, idealism, rising ity ugly head again. "Conservatism" has no place here.
2. for a new constitution for Germany -- decided directly by the people
3. for better voting rights by referenda
4. for the election of the President by the people
5. against exertion of political influence by the political parties via the media
6. for the sanction of tax-wasting by politicians
7. for the protection of the unborn life
8. for a salary for the parent who stays at home to look after the children
9. for a child-related bonus to the pensions of parents
10. for a flexible retirement age, depending on health and job performance
11. for a national school system and national education standards
12. for the support of teachers by so-called co-teachers
13. for performance-orientated dole-money with the entire career as assesment base
14. for the introduction and realisation of the "workfare concept", i.e. charitable work instead of welfare money without return service
15. against local business tax, for a reform of the municipal budgets
16. against car tax, for car toll
17. for the inviolable dignity of the animal - no cruelty and killing out of religious and traditional reasons
18. for non-discrimination of complimentary treatment methods -- recognized by the health insurance
19. for traffic light labelling on food products to make it easier for the consumer to identify the ingredients
20. for a modernisation of the health insurance system aimed at a statutory insurance for all citizens with freedom to choose (i.e. private insurance)
21. for the establishment of the Kirsten-Heisig-Scheme in all federal states
22. for better infrastructure for and against staff cuts of the police force
23. for a zero-tolerance strategy in the case of Islamic influence, no creeping sharia
24. for a stop of immigration now, at least until a solution to the integration problems has been found
25. for new guidelines for residence permits for family members of migrants
26. for strict public participation at mosque building projects
27. for the deprivation of the German citizenship in cases of terrorist activities and felony
28. for Europe as a contract between independent partners, against EU-dictatorship from Brussels

There is this perfectly idiotic bit from the Emory University website and I couldn't RESIST fiddling with it:
She then goes on to inform us about the evil Pilgrim Fathers and their rigid understanding of religion, and goes on -- as a German SHE CAN NOT HELP IT -- to wax lyrically about the Koran burning of that "fundamentalist" pastor in Florida that never happened and how hurtful this was for, yes, not just Muslims, but specifically for us as Germans -- the entire old schtick of the child molester who thinks he is especially qualified for a job as a kindergarden teacher.
She left out, I guess yet and just, the slavery issue, and I spare you the rest, Americans. Frankly, I've got neither the time nor the stomach to translate the rest of that totally predictable, hackneyed, undignified drivel. Here we have a woman, a woman who holds a doctorate in theology, a woman who used to head one of the largest Protestant churches worldwide, a woman who has supposedly taught for two months now at an American university, a woman who IS BOUND TO HAVE spoken to Americans, a woman who still doesn't know how Americans, her hosts, think, feel and define themselves. Why? Because she doesn't give a damn as long as she looks pretty in the process.
In a word: a woman.
She is supposed to come back to Germany later this year. Do me a favour: Keep her!

Halle Institute for Global Learning, which lends a so far unknown meaning to the word "distinguished".Now I was pointed at a recent bout of verbal diarrhoea of that woman, exactly one of those for which she is so widely revered in this country. She explains Americans how they ought to feel about the Ground Zero Mosque, which is, after all, ten whopping walking minutes away from Ground Zero. "Does this building of a mosque really hurts the feelings of Americans? Does it really have anything to do with the terrorist deed of September 11?" In a word: Don't make such a fuss, Amis!
A theologian, pastor, prolific author and able to hold more booze than an entire troop of Russians, Kässmann is an influential leader in the international ecumenical arena and an enormously popular speaker in Europe, often drawing crowds in the thousands, specifically since she was caught in a drunk-driving incident with more than three times over the limit, which proves that we have become an undiscerning, sheepish breed with a knack for the sleazy.
“When I became dean at Candler, I issued her a standing invitation to join us for a semester at our rowdy stagettes whenever she could, and I’m delighted that she has accepted,” says Love, dean of Candler. “Candler faculty and students will be able to interact personally with an extraordinarily creative, charismatic and chadbandian Christian leader. Plus, with our new strategic emphasis on internationalizing the curriculum, whatever that is worth, the fit of having her on campus for a semester could not be better”, says Jan Love. Since Kässmann's election in 1983 as one of the youngest members of the board of directors of the WCC, she has broken age and (retch) gender barriers within the leadership of the Protestant church, and it shows. First in 1999 with her election as the first female bishop of the Protestant Church of Hannover — the largest worldwide, then in 2009, when she was elected chair (barf) of the Council of the Protestant Church in Germany (EKD), the governing body of 24 million Protestants. She enjoyed (you bet) a lot of media attention and even granted interviews about intimate matters to the sleaziest of all Caesarean media whores, BILD.
Kässmann’s February 2010 voluntary resignation from her roles as bishop and chair (barf) of the EKD after a drunk-driving conviction when she had always vocally condemned all forms of "excess", has not diminished her popularity, but, as it could be expected in a totally worth- and shameless society, enhanced it: She received several standing ovations at her first major appearance after her resignation, a Bible study for 5,000 people at the Ecumenical “Kirchentag” in Munich this May, which ought to teach Catholics what ecumenism is worth.
“I think the public see her as a leader who models honesty and integrity in the face of difficulty — a model of authentic leadership at a time when too few leaders own up to the consequences of their inappropriate actions,” simpered Love lovingly. Just imagine for a fraction of a moment what the slimy old bag would have said, had a Catholic bishop committed the same "inappropriate action".
Known for her administrative acumen, prophetic witness and pastoral ability to address complex dilemmas of everyday life (burp), Kässmann is the author of more than 40 books on spirituality, the quest for Christian unity, Christian social engagement and Bible study and about all other thinkable footling and fatuous attention whorish things with which a certain ilk of theologians, not all of them female, poisons the hearts and brains of the undiscerning.

*I am not using "Evangelical Church", the literal translation of the German term "Evangelische Kirche", of which Americans are so fond. It is misleading, and so "Protestant" will have to do.

Who would have thought so: Obama is incompetent!
This is the most singularly stupid bit of writing, with comments to match, I have read in a long time:extracerebral valid reason that it must be wonderful to have a "black" president. Now they have what they wanted. They have an incompetent president and the world STILL doesn't like them any better for their pains to appear "non-racist".
A US analyst says US President Barack Obama is unlikely to end his first term as there are serious efforts by American officials to remove him due to his incompetence.But then it gets really bad:
“It is very doubtful at this time that he will last his first term,” Edward Spannaus of Executive Intelligence Review said in an interview with Press TV on Wednesday.
“There are people who are upset within the administration and the Democratic party who are seriously considering how to remove Obama from presidency,” Spannaus added.
Many of them put out all their calls for removing Obama under the amendment 25th of the US Constitution.
The amendment allows for the removal of the US president if he is incapacitated either physically or mentally.
Spannaus also opined that people in the military are upset because Obama “is not attentive” to what is going on. “We have troops killing and being killed and he is not interested in dealing with it,” he further explained.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Spannaus said people inside the White House say, “Once he got into the White House he is very unhappy having to govern …
... he is very frustrated, he is very depressed, some reports say he is on medications and he cannot concentrate or focus, which is a mental problem.”With comments like, for example:
“It is the question of what he is going to do now in this term, the question of the second term is out of the question,” he concluded.

The West Is Done In
You don't need to understand the German dubbing, I'll explain all you need to know. This is a "professional dancer and choreographer" from India. But what makes this REALLY interesting is the fact that he is a Jesuit. No lie. His full name is Dr. Saju George Moolamthuruthil SJ. In the Bildungs- und Exerzitienhaus (a house for education and spiritual exercises) "Maria zur Sonne" of the Würzburg diocese, he held, in cooperation with the Catholic mission project Missio, a four-day clinic dubbed "Stretching the body -- stretching the soul". The first dance in this film is supposed to allegorize the Crucification of Christ. No lie. The attendees interviewed, one of them a Catholic priest, are over the moon about it. No need to say that it is no lie.
Pater Geurge SJ has given 200 odd (pun intended) performances in India and worldwide, adopting both, as he puts it, Hindu and Christian themes in his performance. He states that his art involves prayer and adoration, self-awareness and divine realisation, aesthetic delight (you bet) and cosmic integration, social service, the promotion of inter-religious peace and harmony, ecumenism as well as other dimensions. And I'd bet a couple of other politically correct themes as well.

Not this obscene, heretic priest is the problem, but those who are embracing perversion in their futile search for "spirituality".
After it didn't manage to make the people practise what it teaches, the contemporary church decided to teach what they practise.

Say Goodbye to the Buttonpusher
Another case of First Amendment interpretation, closely following the controversy about the Ground Zero mosque: So the (for me, as a European) unspeakable "Dr. Laura" Schlessinger has lost her job because she used the word "nigger" in one of her broadcasts and now she's whining that that the "bullying and scary" tactics of the left are a direct threat to the First Amendment rights of anyone who dares to speak out in defense of traditional American values. What is the First Amendment about? It protects Americans from government censorship, it does NOT protect them from reactions by their peers/co-citizens, not from disapproval, pressure, criticism, indignation or from the forces of the market. Nobody tells this hypocritical old slattern that she can not spew her hate- and deliberately hurtful drivel. It's just that if "Dr. Laura's" sponsors don't like what she says or have something better to broadcast, they have every right to get rid of her. Here we have those two wonderful things in action America has given to the world and which stand for freedom and liberty. They are called "free market" and "public discourse".
And of course she was right about the caller, who expressed concern over her white husband's friends being racist, that if she's that "hypersensitive about color" and doesn't "have a sense of humor" she oughn't have married "out of (her) race". That said, this came, if the media reports are correct, after she said the word "nigger" 11 times in a string of expletives. OF COURSE that usage was intended to be -- and was -- provocative, even though she was "only quoting". However, I wonder, too, why somebody in such a predicament would go to that heartless bitch, of all people, for advice, and I wouldn't be amazed if she was framed.
It's not what she said, but how she said it, and it will never fail to amaze me how such a deliberately provovative and violative, vulgar and ungiving bitch, one that was exposed several times as a hypocrite to boot, was able to become a paragon of conservative values. It must have been because she knows how to push the right buttons of conservatives (and "conservatives"), as she knows, no doubt, how to push the buttons of her hapless audience.
I always thought humility was part and parcel of conservative values. I may be wrong. But whatever, now she's forced to learn a painful lesson in it. Good.

A Cackling Cockatoo's Cognitive Cacophony
In September, a political convention for openly gay Republicans, Homocon 2010, will be held in New York City to celebrate their rationalizations and Ann Coulter's Adam's apple. The organizers are GOProud, who have entered the political arena to represent gay conservatives and their enablers. The Compatibility of Western "Progressivism" with Islam
The previous entry It's Islam, Stupid! -- Redux got a couple of interesting comments. Let me summarize: Why do liberals, artists, atheists, homosexual activists, feminists favour Islam over a traditional Christian society? Isn't that illogical? No it isn't. That would only be the case if one would assume that they were, in fact, into freedom. But that is not the case. They are into control, and that's exactly why those people are usually not into just one "progressive", politically correct cause, but into all of them. A leftist will be as well feminist, into "equal rights" for homosexuals, vegetarian- or veganism, teetotalism (which, funny enough, doesn't extent to drugs), "animal rights", the cult of man-made climate change, the choice to murder your unborn child, agnosticism or atheism, "progressive" pedagogy and art, gun control, anti-racism and a rabid egalitarianism, and and and... In fact, it is all about control, bullying and might. They want to see the separation of powers, so fundamental for the rule of law, abolished. They are their own lawmakers, judges and law enforcers, political correctness is their constitution. They are abhorred at the thought that anybody anywhere on this earth might have fun. Wholesome fun, above all. They'd ban heterosexual sex, if they could. They want people sick of body and soul, helpless and frightened.
And that is exactly what Islam wants as well. They are mutually compatible, and each faction think they can control the other and we are supposed to lean back and wait who wins.
I'd like to add that the mutual hatred of Jews fits perfectly well into all this. For to the rebels in the West against God and the Ten Commandments, the godless cult of Islam must appear as the perfect ally.

Facebook's Double Standard
Under the header Clear Hate of Jews on Facebook the English language version of Politically Incorrect, the most read of all political blogs in Germany, not just the Islam-critical ones, leads us down to the bilges of -- how shall I put it? -- a German subculture. By the way "potatoes" (="Kartoffeln" in the original) is a slur for ethnic Germans:
In this context it ought to be mentioned, that the Facebook accounts of Dr. Christine Dietrich and Stefan Herre, two of the people behind Politically Incorrect, have been terminated without explanation or notice.On Facebook an apparently deeply piled up hate of Jews is now being unloaded. Muslims living in Germany are freely exercising their genocidal fantasies. They don’t conceal their sympathies for the Holocaust and its author Adolf Hitler. The fact is openly bemoaned that he was unable to complete his gruesome work.
In light of the multitude of shocking texts, the usual diversions of a few simple rare occurrences can no longer be spoken of. Also, the study of the Amadeu Antonio Foundation of the previous year came to the conclusion that there is definitely a strong anti-Semitism among young Muslims. Something appears to be developing here that not only should cause the greatest concern, but must give occasion for even greater alarm, if it would be the right target group with Jew-hating Bio-German right-wing radicals, but there is the possibility that the well-wishing immigrant bonus is being employed here. For perhaps they don’t mean it that way, but it must still be explained to them how to understand “Mein Kampf” correctly. But in a Turkey that has been re-Islamized at a fearfully fast pace, Hitler’s hate tirades appear to have become once again accepted and beloved. Men Who Deserve to Perish
The following was triggered off by a discussion about cinematography and the fact that more and more mainstream films that do not feature homosexuality AS SUCH, include "gay sex" scenes. I don't even own a TV set, hardly ever go to the cinema and buy a DVD only if it's become cheap enough, so I am usually years behind, but I have never found that a disadvantage. However, I find this instant of another offputting "in-our-face" strategy of the "gay" lobby still worth a comment. Homosexuals are a small minority (although they are working hard on changing that) yet the heterosexual majority is FORCED to acknowledge their sexuality, once it's featured in mainstream films. This is not new but still topical:
In this context it ought to be mentioned that in America a population-wide decline in men’s testosterone levels during the last 20 years can be noted, that is not related to normal aging or to health or lifestyle factors known to influence testosterone levels. In plain English: They don't have an explanation for that phenomenon. This decline is consistent with other long-term trends in male reproductive health, such as decreases in sperm quality, increases in testicular cancer or cryptorchidism. The societal neutering of men has gone a long way already. No doubt, watching Daniel Craig in the buff will lower the average American male's testosterone level by another 10 percent.
Good luck to you, American men! No doubt, deriving pleasure from the fact that you are really, really good boys and in all thinkable situations impeccably politically correct will, one day soon, give you more pleasure than the act of procreation. You have gone a long way already towards the brave new world of an Andrea Dworkin, whose vision was that men are reduced to sperm banks on two legs, whose only useful occupation would be the occasional contribution to the gene pool. Men who are too scared to preserve their own sexuality deserve to perish.

He is neither breathtakingly handsome like Roger Moore nor breathtakingly male like Sean Connery. And he has just an average physique as well, if that. How anybody who ever saw the pectorals and other assorted muscles of a Lloyd Bridges can find the remotest pleasure (whether aesthetically or sexually) in a nonentity like Daniel Craig is beyond me. Notabene that men in the past weren't afraid either to show that they had chest hair, different from the girlie- or neutered men of today.

Margot Kässmann, ex-bishopette of Hannover and ex-"chair" of the council of EKD and thus the highest-ranking of Protestant bishops of both sexes in Germany, retired in February, following a drunk driving incident.
The -- inevitable -- demise was taken as a sign of human strength as well as the drunken joyride was taken as an endearing sign of being "just human". She is an expert of and always appealing to basic human stupidity and laziness, for example when she was shameless enough to equate radicalism, religious zeal and potential danger of Muslim and Christian converts and when she draw a big slime trail right through the Scripture when she twisted it to justify the breach of her marital vows. This bishopette, notabene, is divorced, another matter that proves to her adoring followership how cute and endearingly human she is.
Three months and presumably one withdrawal treatment later, the demoted bishopette-soon-to-be-papette made a triumphant return to public life and was received at the oecumenic church congress (Kirchentag) at Munich last week with standing ovations. Serves the Catholic Church right for supporting something that starts with "oecumen". As a staunch opponent of the war in Afghanistan, she spoke about the transformation of a weapon of war into a sign of hope, long bow, rainbow and all that. Yes, we yawned too.
At a sermon in the gallant Cathedral of Our Dear Lady, Munich Archbishop’s own cathedral, no less, Kässmann warned against "demonising" birth control. "We may, however, see it as a gift from God as well" and, with her very own idiosyncratic ability to travel on a slime trail through theology, concluded "for it is about the preservation of life, of freedom, which doesn’t have to degenerate at once into pornography, as much as the sexualisation of our society is, of course, a problem." Can you stomach more? "It’s about love without fear and about responsible parenthood. And for women "it’s about concern for their own lives and those of their own children." Well, whatever. You get the general idea.

Foo Foo and Miss Piggy Go Islam Critics

Their self-effacement and humility is legendary:
A Statement from Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer of the Freedom Defense InitiativeWell, what can one say? First, that this is so embarrassingly pompous, blantantly self-serving, mind-bogglingly dumb, and flatulently bumptious that it merits a full re-print here.
It has come to our attention today that Martin Mawyer, who had been scheduled to appear with us at the premiere of Mawyer's film [I guess that is Wilder's film] Islam Rising in Los Angeles on May 1, has had attributed to him a series of offensive anti-gay statements made in 1997. While we don't expect to agree on all issues with those with whom we collaborate on anti-jihad efforts, we do not wish to give the impression that we endorse, agree with, or approve of in any way the statements attributed to Mr. Mawyer. Nor do we wish to give the impression that Geert Wilders or the Freedom Defense Initiative approves of such statements.
The Freedom Defense Initiative, like Geert Wilders, stands for the human rights of people of all creeds, colors, and sexual orientations against the global jihad, which works daily to impose the discriminatory and brutal strictures of Sharia upon free people. Sharia denies basic rights to women, non-Muslims, and gays, and exalts its brutal and inhumane system as divine law. In standing for human rights in this way, we consider it of utmost importance that our message not be clouded by other agendas, as we labor to build a broad coalition of free people who hold a wide variety of perspectives on other issues, united against the slavery of Islamic law.
In order, then, to avoid creating any false impressions about our agenda and goals, or those of Geert Wilders, we have decided to cancel the event in Los Angeles on May 1.
Second, it is interesting to notice that the Innocents Abroad, who had had no compunctions about rubbing shoulders with European fringe-Nazis, are getting their underwear in a knot about a homophobic slur. What did Mawyer say exactly? A Google search containing "Martin Mawyer anti-gay statement 1997" leads to this:

Every word is true and amply proven over the thirteen years since Mawyer spoke them out, which leads to point three and the question in which world Geller and Spencer are living. Have Tweedledum and Tweedledee never twigged that there is a world of difference between not stringing homosexuals to cranes on one hand and letting them corrupt and insult our values, tastes and sensibilities by the swinish, aggressive public displays of their sexuality on the other?
Those ostentations are not "vibrant", "colourful" or the expression of an "alternative lifestyle", they are debased, rotten to the core, degenerated and shameless and a culture that tolerates, even lauds, something like that as an expression of progress deserves to vanish from the face of the earth.Have Tweety and Sylvester never sensed a whiff of how purpose- and successfully the "gay" lobby seeks to abuse the repressive powers of the state to silence all expressions of opposition to their agenda? How every concession is met with new complaints and demands? That "equal rights" are the last thing they want? How an unremarkable majority silently endorses an aggressive political leadership? How frighteningly similar that strategy is to the way Muslims reach their goals?
Fourth, something fishy may be going on there. Even Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels can't really be QUITE that dumb and dumber and believe that their Freedom Defense Initiative will have the slightest influence of the Dutch elections and that anybody will notice favourably that they threw for Wilders' sake an obscure American right-wing Christian conservative under the bus. So Martin Mawyer made 13 years ago some pretty outspoken anti-"gay" statements. He should have made quite a few since, or at least that is the impression I got from my brief acquaintance with that man. Why the 1997 quote? Why side with him in the first place? His general views are well known or so it seems.
But then, maybe it is really just another sort of arse-and-elbow-confusing gaffe, like the Pro-Köln one, when Pamela Geller, Geert Wilders' great confidante, must have failed to ask him why HE did NOT attend the rally. Possibly, she finally and too late, namely after she had consented to attend, had a word with him and that made her and Spencer cancel their attendance, and not the fear of dreadful Charles Johnson of LGF-infame. Somehow, things like this tend to end in some sort of terrible stupidity-induced cataleptic ennui.

The politically correct hyaenae are all in a flutter.
This is the result of a Google News search for "Wilders Rechtspopulist". Rechtspopulist can be translated as "right wing populist", but I have a hunch that the latter has in English more the ring of "popular", "common touch" or "grassroots". In German, it's exclusively used to describe a demagogue.
Which is, of course, fatuous, because a demagogue tells people what they WANT TO hear, whereas Wilders tells people what they DO NOT want to hear.
You will recognise some terms, I think. "Rechts" is the ever-recurring "right wing". Germans won't recognise a liberal because they don't understand the concept. They long to be anally penetrated by totalitarism, and, after Nazism and Communism, Islam is just the option. 20 years of a totalitarism-free Germany is more than enough! In that spirit the term "Islamhasser" ought to be seen, which means, not too surprisingly, "Islam hater", and that is about the worst thing one can call a politician here.
Which tells, of course, nothing about Wilders but all about the German mainstream.

High on Booze and One's Own Importance
The pastoral head of the umbrella organisation of Germany's Protestant churches has admitted drunk-driving after having passed a red light and being caught with a blood alcohol level three times over the legal limit. This is not the first time the church leader has made headlines. Criticising Catholic teachings on homosexuality, the ordination of women and celibacy come to mind. The calling for the withdrawal of German troops from Afghanistan in a sermon on New Year's Day became well known or, if you like, notorious, as well. The representative of Germany's 25 million Protestants, who revels in the role of a moral authority, who has in that capacity criticised bankers for their greed during the financial crisis and condemned all forms of "excess", vocally declared that "Nothing is good in Afghanistan" and urged a speedy withdrawal of the German troops.
Now I will let you in on a secret about German psychology. You can bet your last penny that, if a German opposes a war -- ANY war -- he is really, deep down, opposing WWII, where the evil Americans attacked a trusting and innocent Germany to prevent it from completing their great patriotic deed.
"There is no such thing as a 'just war.' I cannot legitimize it from a Christian point of view," the bishop had stated, and: "There is nothing right in Afghanistan. All these strategies have just obscured the fact that soldiers are using their guns and even killing civilians."
Asked whether that applies to the war against Nazi Germany as well, the reply was affirmative: "They always say, if the Allies hadn’t attacked there wouldn’t have been freedom. But I say — why wasn’t there a strategy to avoid war? Why wasn’t the German opposition to Hitler strengthened? Why weren’t the rails leading to Auschwitz bombed?" And who gives an aviating fornication for the fact that is was the "strategy to avoid war" in the first place that enabled Hitler to turn into a threat to the entire free world.
Predictably, such history-relativising and responsibility-misaligning statements evoked a groundswell of support from the leftist German mainstream, public and media.
And now for the really interesting detail: The bishop is, interest- but not really amazingly, a bishoppette.
That women, known for granting the disgusting German tabloid BILD (no links to BILD from my blogs) interviews about her love life and her theology, never misses a snide remark about the Catholic church, like, for example "I'm not an infallibe papette", which proves either that she doesn't deserve her doctorate in theology or that she is an intellectually dishonest hack and oughtn't to head a Protestant kindergarden, let alone the Protestant church. Papal infallibility is clearly defined, strictly limited and has been executed twice, namely by Pope Pius IX in 1854 regarding the Immaculate Conception and by Pope Pius XII in 1950, defining the Assumption of Mary. But that theologian can safely assume that BILD readers don't know that anyway and whatever if it only makes such a great point against that evil old man in Rome whose throne even SHE (SHE SHE!) won't be -- horribile dictu -- able to reach. All this, mind you, goes by the label of "improving ecumenism".
We have, incidentally, reported on Margot Kässmann already when she was shameless enough to equate the radicalism, religious zeal and potential danger of Muslim and Christian converts and about the big slime spot she left in the Scripture when she twisted it to justify the breach of her marital vows. This bishopette, notabene, is divorced.
But as usual, not the problem is the problem, but how people react to it. The entire leftist public and media have their Attends in a knot to protect this paragon of leftist, i.e. rotten-to-the-core and depraved, values. Her organisation explicitly "covers her back" and the online fora are atwitter with statements saying that this is basically a good thing because it proves that she is, after all, human. And that when we all thought, just like she did herself, that she is godlike. Just imagine for a fraction of a moment what had happened, had a Catholic bishop made the same "honest mistake".
I, personally, find it almost a relief that her statements can now safely be dismissed not just as the the unbalanced rantings of an unhinged woman drugged by the thought of her own importance, but as the unbalanced rantings of an unhinged alcoholic woman drugged by the thought of her own importance. With a blood alcohol level of 1.54 o/oo, a non-alcoholic would have been, at best, able to find the next lavatory in time, but not his car, let alone open it, start it and drive it. That is not bad in itself, she is neither the first nor the last alcoholic in such an office, what IS bad is that she thought that she could get away with it (and that, so it seems, she WILL get away with it) and didn't even bother to call a taxi. Being high on one's own inflated ego and being high on alcohol is, in the end, difficult to tell apart, or so I guess.

Why am I not amazed?
Psychologists in Canada may have found out that people who become eco-conscious consumers are "more likely to steal and lie" than others. Authors of the study are Professor Nina Mazar of the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and her colleague Chen-Bo Zhong. "Buying products that claim to be made with low environmental impact can set up 'moral credentials' in people’s minds that give license to selfish or questionable behavior."

The Post-Racial Age Has Arrived in Germany
...or: About people born on the right side. Twice.
The post-racial message of America's President Obama has finally arrived in Germany. How have we survived so long without it?
The director of the publicly funded "Workshop of Cultures" (Werkstatt der Kulturen), "theatermaker" and ethnologist Philippa Ebéné, decided Thursday to remove educational panels covering the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini from a planned exhibiton at her premises to the disgust of a district mayor, the curator of the exhibit and the Berlin Jewish community.
The exhibit covers the immensely topical issue "The Third World during the Second World War" and three of 96 exhibit panels are dedicated to the REALLY topical issue of the mufti's collaboration with the Nazis who had a decisive influence on the Holocaust (we reported many times already). Ebéné stated that she refused to display the information on Husseini out of respect for joint Arab organisations. Her decision was supported by migration commissioner of the Berlin Senate, Günter Piening. In a neighbourhood (heavily dominated by Muslims) like Neukölln a "differentiated presentation" was paramount, Piening stated.

Maya Zehden, a spokeswoman for the Berlin Jewish community, termed Piening's statement "an appeasement attempt" to ignore the fact that "there was no official resistance from the Arabic world against the persecution of Jews" during the Shoah. She accused Piening of showing a false tolerance to German-Arabs in a heavily Muslim-influenced neighborhood.
In an e-mail to the JPost, Heinz Buschkowsky, the district mayor in Neukölln, wrote that it is a sign of "anticipatory obedience to avoid probable protests. I do not consider this position to be good", notabene pointing out that Piening's statement is a "repression of the facts dealing with anti-Semitism."
Meanwhile, Ebéné denied that there was an "agreement" with the local Muslim community to censor the exhibit. She termed media queries regarding an agreement as "Eurocentric." The Jeruslem Post was informed that the exhibit was intended as a "homage to soldiers from African" countries who fought against the Nazis. Indeed, a crucial aspect of WWII so far totally neglected.
When asked about her opposition to the inclusion of the mufti panels, she asked, "was there ever a commemoration event in Israel to honor the [African] soldiers?" In an Interview with Radio Berlin Brandenburg Ebéné, who has a German mother and a father from Cameroon and is thus, so to say by birth and per definitionem, on the right side, stated: I am not white. I have no reason to be afraid of Arabs", which is rather endearing for somebody who is allegedly heavy into informing the world about the African slave-trade.
My take on all this? This is so rock-solid, die-hard, intransigently and impregnally stupid and so full of the usual German "antifa", politically correct, "fight against the right", "multiculti"anti-West and racist crap, that it defies any serious comment, because that would lend her antics a credibility they don't possess. That Ebéné is first confusing Fascism and National-Socialism and then, when challenged, peddling her family's (the German side, that is) history of saving Jewish children to show that she is by birth DOUBLY on the right side, is only the icing on the cake.
Of course, the reaction of the public, the political classes and the media, or the question how Ebéné could end up in such a position at all, are a different matter.

Duh! Or: Three Cheers to Stalinism
I came across the following while I was doing some modest research on the man-with-migration-background-on-German-female rape statistics. The figures concerning the rape of European women by Muslim immigrants, specifically in the Scandinavian countries, are, thanks to Fjordman, well known. However, figures about Germany are conspiciously missing. I have two explanations for that, which may both apply or be both wrong. The first one is that Muslim immigrant-on-indigene rapes are yet not as ubiquitous in Germany as they are in Scandinavia or the U.K., the other one is that Germany is not on the international map, as in so many other respects. However, searching (without result) for such figures, I came across a study by the Child and Woman Abuse Studies Unit of the London Metropolitan University "Rape: Still a forgotten issue". As soon I see a feminist issue called "forgotten", all my inner alarm bells start ringing, and I was, not too amazingly, right. The Search for "Germany" led me to the following information dating back to 2001:

I took the figures from the Wikipedia entry about worldwide Islam. Notabene that they are from 2007, not 2001, and that they apply to the entire U.K. and not just to England and Wales. However, as this is a blog entry, not a post-doc project, they will have to do.
Can there be conclusions be drawn from this? Maybe. Here are mine in no particular order. It shows (and I am sure that further figures for different countries would substantiate that) 3% of Muslim population seems to be a critical limit. It shows further, that the Brits are unable to control their Muslim population and to keep track of their population generally. But most of all, it shows that a modicum of knowledge about the countries one attempts to "analyze" is indispensable.

If reporting were constant with respect to population, the Greek and Swedish figures should be relatively similar, but the country with a smaller population has a reporting rate ten times higher. Similarly, the German figure should be considerably higher than that for England and Wales, but is actually a fifth lower."Should"! You don't say!
At this point, a look at the methodology of the study may be in order:
The base data comprises short questionnaires sent to Justice Ministries in all European Union member states, aspirant states, Switzerland and Norway. Information was sought on:In other words, this was not a study about rape, but on the willingness of European authorities to comply with mindless, pseudo-academic, feminist projects. No attention was given to the perpetrators, and the authors of the study made no effort whatsoever to ask why some figures were not as they "should" have been.
• Numbers of rape cases reported, prosecuted and resulting in convictions in 1998-2001.
• For countries that failed to respond to the first survey, or provided incomplete data, an opportunity to provide the same information for 1977-1997.
• Any recent research containing either national prevalence data, including unreported rapes, or analysis of the attrition process.
• Details of any major reforms during the 1980s and 1990s with respect to: criminal law on rape; courtroom procedures; guidelines for prosecutors; guidelines for police investigations.
• National provision for forensic medical examinations.
Views were also sought about barriers to successfully prosecuting rape cases and whether rape was currently on the national political agenda. Ministries were, therefore, sent variations of the questionnaire depending on what data had, and had not, been provided previously.
Of 35 Justice Ministries, 21 returned questionnaires, some promptly, others only after multiple reminders by both the research team, and project partners in country. The non-cooperation of some states, and the absence of complete data from others, raises issues about the possibilities of tracking the most fundamental indicators of responses to violence against women, which has not only been recommended by the European Women’s Lobby (2001), but also been matters of policy development during the last four presidencies of the EU.

The number of reported rapes in Germany fell from 1984 to 1990, but increases from this year, although with year on year variation. This trend accelerates sharply with a 16 per cent increase between 1997 and 1998 although this decreases slightly in 1999 and 2000 before rising again in 2001. That said, however, the large increase one would expect following reunification, which almost doubled the population, is not evident in these figures.Yes girls! That is, because there were very few Muslims living in the former GDR and those who WERE, knew quite well that any antics about "religious freedom" and "freedom of speech" wouldn't have taken them all that far in Stalinist Germany. Also, rape was rather frowned upon and there wasn't much room for multicultural empathy for the perpetrator within the great International Socialist brotherhood if it occured -- and that was a good thing.
